WHERE DO I FLY INTO COSTA RICA?

The closest airport to the DiVina Vida Farm is Juan Santa Maria located in San Jose, Costa Rica.
The airport code is SJO. Make sure when booking that you do not accidently book into San Jose, California

HOW DO I GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE FARM?

There are several ways to get to this area and then to the farm. If you Google map or Waze “Finca DiVina Vida” you will find us pinned.
There is Uber, a shuttle service, a bus and a personal driver. Depending on your budget, any of these are easily booked for you with your travel information. Just let us know.

 
 

DO YOU OFFER A MEAL PLAN?

Yes, we take everyone’s dietary needs into consideration when cooking for our interns. Most of our food comes from the farm or the nearby neighbors including chicken. Sometimes we’ll ask the interns to prepare food that we provide although often times, someone will be in charge of the cooking.

EVEN IF I AM FRUITARIAN?

Yes, absolutely. Fruitarian, Vegan, Raw, all diets are accommodated.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

You will want to bring the least amount of stuff as possible. You will have access to the laundry facilities once or twice a week, so pack light. Light clothing with long sleeves for plantation work and comfortable tanks and shorts for other times. You will need work boots, but chances are we will have a pair for you here at the farm.

 
 

ARE THERE MEDICAL FACILITIES AND PHARMACIES NEARBY?

Yes, 25 minutes away from the farm is the town of Parrita with a clinic, an English speaking private practice doctor and several pharmacies to fill your prescriptions. That said, it is advisable to bring all of your needed medications with you.

IS AN ALLERGEN TEST OR ARE VACCINATIONS REQUIRED TO COME TO COSTA RICA?

No, as of April 1st, no tests, vaccinations or proof of insurance are needed to fly into Costa Rica. If your returning country requires a test to travel back in, tests are available withing 24 hours of your flight either in Parrita or at the Airport
