Hi, I am Lisa, the steward of this beautiful property in the Costa Rica rainforest. I am blessed and honored to be a part of this sacred project.
When I first arrived in Costa Rica, my calling was rooted in tropical herbal medicine. I spent years working intimately with the plants of this land learning their rhythms, preparing teas infused with gem elixirs and deepening my relationship with the rainforest as a living, breathing ally. That chapter was about listening, observing and remembering the wisdom carried by the plants.
Along the way, cacao began to take root after attending my first cacao ceremony, I was asked what my intention was. My answer was simple “to get to know th plant spirit more deeply.
From that moment on, cacao began to guide me, first into planting additional trees and then in revealing itself as the true heart of this land and the soul of this project.
Over time, everything else gently fell away and cacao stepped forward as the singular focus. Today, Divina Vida is devoted entirely to cacao and fine chocolate mastery from it’s cultivation, transformation, tasting and ceremonial presence. Cacao is not a product here—she is the master teacher, she is the medicine and she offers the experience that brings people into deep connection with the land, the process and themselves.
